These weekend sessions combine mindful movement with practices, rituals and reflections inspired by nature and ancient traditions and practices from both the east and west. Working with the seasons is a never ending source of guidance and inspiration for how to flow through life with ease and energy.
In these workshops, we will move our bodies in ways that connect to each season’s power and harness the energy of the time of year by connecting to what is going on both without and within, via meditation and reflection. We will draw on the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, TCM and Celtic traditions to deepen our connection and understanding of nature’s cycles. Whenever I feel out of sorts or out of sync, I come back to this practical and beautiful practice of seasonal awareness.
Seasonal Saturday Yoga Sessions are an invitation to carve out some precious time and space for yourself. Space to invite balance and energy back into your body. Time to restore and deepen your yoga practice and knowledge.
Each session will be unique but all will include some of the following:
A seasonal Hatha yoga session, to build strength, balance and stamina ( inspired by the season, with plenty of opportunities to modify and rest).
Some Restorative or Yin yoga practice for flexibility and deeper relaxation.
Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) for active relaxation and deep rest.
